Heritage Park Hotel · Solomon Islands
A scattered archipelago of 900 richly forested islands — where world-class diving, living WWII history, vibrant Melanesian culture, and untouched Pacific wilderness converge.
Our Story
The Solomon Islands has been attracting international visitors since 1568 when Spanish explorer Álvaro de Mendaña first sailed into this corner of the South Pacific. His legacy endures — Santa Isabel, San Cristóbal, and the famous Guadalcanal all bear the Spanish names he gave them.
The islands and their quiet, reserved people — a rich mix of Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian cultures — were largely left alone for 300 years. Then came World War II. The Battle of Guadalcanal saw nearly 38,000 lives lost and marked the turning point of the Pacific War. Today, 25,000 international visitors make the journey every year.
