The Estate

A historic address
on Guadalcanal

"One of our main aims is to ensure the site retains its place in history, and maintains the beauty and serenity of its location."

Heritage Park Hotel is located on the island of Guadalcanal in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands. Opened in August 2009, the hotel occupies what was the original home of the Governor General of Solomon Islands — a site of deep historical significance.

The main building is a careful renovation of the original colonial house. The GG's Restaurant was once the grand main hall. The Terrace was an assembly area. The Cultural Village to the right of the property preserves architectural remains representing the many provinces of the Solomon Islands.

This modern, contemporary four-star hotel was built on the former residence of the erstwhile British Governors and two Governors General of the independent Solomon Islands — Sir Baddeley Devesi and Sir George Lepping.
